    Spaceweasel, I may have to pick up a couple of those small ones. I am leaving at the end of the month for a week at summer camp, with the scouts. The top one that you have pictured, looks like the one that I have now. IMO, it does a far job of keeping me cool, without being too loud.......RR

    I have a pair of the little O2 Cools and for (as I recall) less than $3 they work wonderfully. Just junk the batteries that come with them. Energizers lasted for two nights, no problems. Just used two carabiners on the ridge-line to keep it aimed where I wanted.

    Ok so I tried out the fan and it worked pretty good! It really came in handy when I had the Guardian Bugnet on the hammock. It blew just enough air to take that claustrophobic, muggy feeling away...

    gotta say that this past weekend, i had some good success with a misty mate in the hammock. you get wet, but hey it cools you off. and a wet hammock in the hot isnt bad at all...

    Picked up 2 battery fans at the dollar store for 2.50 each. They run on 2 aa batts and they work quite well. They actually have foam blades

    I'm definitely gonna look for a couple of those O2 fans. I can't sleep at all if I'm too hot.
