So a few weeks ago I decided to order enough gear to get me through for a long time..including clips, ropes and shock cord. I'm a whoopie hook kinda guy so got stuff to make a whoopie hook suspension.
Meanwhile I (and by "I" I'm saying there really is no denying that it was my own doing) ripped one whole set of my recently ordered Straps.
I told him over and over its was my fault (just wasn't paying attention to what I was doing) but dutch insisted on replace the straps for free!!!.. I thought to my self Whoa!; but gratefully took him up on the offer..
We then got to talking about what I prefer as far as his equipment.. I had stated that I would like to have a Figure 8 instead of the whoopie hook. This I wanted to do this so I would have a permanent whoopie strap system. I know now that's silly because the hook holds in place just fine to keep connected.
We started to discuss all the different combinations of options that he had available and his suspension biners came up. I looked them up and said (in passing) that I could think of 101 uses for those..
Well my first shipment arrived then two days later another shipment came in. It had biners the [B]7' foot straps instead of the 5' I originally ordered[B] (because agian in passing I mentioned that the 5' straps were actually too short for me) I never dreamed he would just send me the longer ones.. I Would offer to pay the difference but I know he would refuse...
I'm sure I'm forgetting what else he put in the box but it had to cost as much as my original order (which was a lot); and it was all free..
The pic shows some free stuff as well as what I bought.. I have even more dutch gear hiding on my gear,..
I'm pretty sure I can quickly find a use for everything and I mean for far more than just hammock camping.. I have some Land Cruiser junkie buddies that would go nuts over those biners.
BTW Those coiled straps are sets of two (so four in total)..
Thanks a lot Dutch!!!
