    Hello all

    I just got a sheet of 3/8 Volara Foam 7ft x 60in
This stuff is Light, Id guess around a pound (no scales to weigh it by)
I have unrolled it out on the floor ~ and yes I laid down on it ~ and it had very little give.
I guess Ill be cutting it to shape this after noon.

if you care to shave off some of that volara, i could use a 6' by 2' piece... that would leave you with a 3' by 7'

i wish we knew the weight, that's what is on everyones minds methinks...

Mine is 30x76(will trim to 72) and taperd to 15" to 18" down pad. This one weighs 11 oz and is just huge.
Fits in BB nice, would not go much wider in a BB sleeve unless going to 1/8 or 1/4" pad. It is a tad stiff, bunches a bit in mid section. Probably good alone to 30-35F. I had mine to 40F with 40F bag used as quilt.

Try it out first before you start hacking it up At 30" wide, it is a pain to pack. Too wide to put on straps of bottom of pack. I pack it vertical on outside. If segmented, it would be more manageable.

I just made a pot Cozy for my new 1.3L Ti pot with some scrap. Seems to handle the direct heat from pot well (did not melt).

That stuff is REALLY STIFF. I'm thinking I'll cut a pair of V's at hip level where the pad buckles the most. It is a bit of a pain to pack. I ordered a roll like yours. I'll be using part of it under a horse stall mat to drop barbells on.

Thats why I fig Segmented would be better.

Hinged in nylon sleeves so it will fold up

I am going to order some 1/8 for summer use(nice to have if I need to go to ground for some reason) Hopefully that will be able to fold and roll.
