I just stop and stare at them. Sky Painter is that a car buried in the snow to the right of your tarp? Desert in Maine? Sounds like a different camp ground.
===> Nope, just a big old Glacial Erratic boulder left behind by the Ice Age. Those were in far Western Mass this past winter, in the Berkshire mountains.
The last was in the "Desert Of Maine" Campground in Freeport, Maine. It is a real desert with an interesting history. Hung with wife and daughter #2 while visiting daughter #1. Didn't even need tarps that night!

Nice pics of the moose there. I hope it was not rutting season
This was sunrise on Lake Huron last Saturday morning. We were stealth camping at a roadside park in Michigan, East of Mackinaw City on M-23

Here are my offerings from my last few overnight hikes.
My first trip with the hammock. On our second night we camped at Rearguard campsite with this view.
What a view! Nice pic.
Here is a site I really enjoyed. In Wabakimi PP. I hung right over a blueberry patch and could pick blueberries right from the hammock!
