I got the ideal from the zipper mod post. You sew the zipper on first and then cut the hole. The zipper material will keep the strength of the hammock. I made the pocket a little bigger maybe a 1/4 longer on each side. I was going to put it down the hem but the pocket would have ran up hill. Plus with the under quilt on no one sees the pocket just zip it up and have a hideaway!

That is detailed in the Perfect Zipper Installation video.

After reading about Hammocks on this Forum. I was starting to think my HH was getting obsolete! So I got to work making it better! I had 2Q&ZQ to add the zipper Mod #3 Now that's worth every Pennie spent! I can't say enough good things about their work but Great!! Plus I love getting out the side and not missing with the velcro and the under quilt's velcro. Then here comes the Warbonnet BB with the pocket! So I added a pocket! It works Great Too! I love my pocket in my HH! and to make my HH even better I took the folds out of the foot end to help get rid of the velcro ridge! I got two entrances and two exits! So now! I think my Hennessy hammock is top notch! I've even added cinch buckles to top it off! I just need to add a bathroom now!

I was looking at 2Q & ZQ's web site. I was looking at their ridgeline pocket organizer. And it popped in my head that if you had the zipper mod on your HH, you could add this pocket organizer on the outside with the zipper! Just unzip and reach in and get your stuff! If your seating just reach down and get your stuff! You can sew it down the side by the zipper! Or ask them to do it!! This should work!! Thanks for the replies on my pocket!! Thomas

I am considering putting just such an organizer (I already have it) in my non-modded HH. Sew it onto the left hand side along the long tieout seam. But I ave it all packed up for a trip and I don't want to unpack it now.

    Great Mod.
I have not found a comfortable place inside the hammock for the camelbak bladder. I wonder how much weight could this pocket hold... if it holds a 1.5 L bladder im adding one to my hh.
