I have two boys, 8 and 11, and we go camping pretty often. I have been setting up the tent and hammock for the past couple years. As much as I like the hammock when I am alone, the kids have always wanted me in the tent when I am with them. This past weekend, I stayed in the hammock and left them in the tent. The next morning they asked if they could have hammocks too. Huzzah! I am not jumping in with both feet, but I have ordered two inexpensive parachute hammocks that should be here just in time for the annual father/son camp-out at church. It is a pretty big deal and everyone goes, so the kids are excited about being the envy of their friends on the camp-out.
Now I have to talk my wife in to sewing some underquilts. We usually are camping at around 8,500 ft+ and it gets nipply quick up there.
