As for there yet, man have you stepped outside lately. I sweat just looking out my office window.

I have been out of touch here lately and for that I apologize. I started a million dollar project at work and have been spending most time in the field with my contractors. All office time is being devoted to the mounds of paper work no one else is touching while I am on the road. can't say I blame them, I don't want to have to do it either.
If you got time this weekend get out for a short hang. The weather man is predicting overnight temps down to 71 for Friday and Saturday night. After that back into the frying pan.

    Temps

    Alexandria Average mean temps

    October is 68 deg f.
    November is 59 deg f

    Alexandria Average temps.

    October 78 hi 58 lo
    November 68 hi 49 lo

Take your pick somewhere in between. Being that we will be on a lake and in a wooded area, it may be a few degrees cooler.

Will we be staying at Kincaid Lake Campground?

    http://gypsy-boho.blogspot.com/2012/...caid-lake.html

Also, would it be possible to start a new thread for this hang, with the correct dates in the subject line and then only relevant details now that a spot has been selected?

I'm going thru pages trying to find info and keep going back and forth unable to find what I'm looking for.

I'll be leaving a Popup rally near Tampa on Oct 7 and meandering my way along the Panhandle checking out new-to-me parks. I'll head to Bayou Segnette SP for a few days. I'd love to go to Grand Isle SP. Is it worth it? How long would the drive be? Might leave the camper set up and just take a tent. Then I'll head up toward Lafayette and up. If I'm too early, I might go as far as Shreveport etc as I have never been to central or northern LA. And then back to meet up with the group

Have not been able to find a campground guide to LA (is there one?) but am looking through an older Lonely Planet Guide to LA and the Deep South marking museums and cultural sites. (Cane River area seems to be interesting.). Have visited several plantations on the River Road (Laura is my favorite).

Don't want to hog this thread any more but would appreciate any PMs to sandykayak at yahoo with info ab highly recommended areas/state parks and sights. My cell is 305-606-8916

Yep, you never know what it will be. Although I can tell you that last year it was so hot and I didn’t keep my Milk-Duds in the cooler, that it melted the chocolate off of them.
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T

In the link you sent there are a few pictures of a dog going to the fishing wharf....thats the exact spot we plan to hang. There are 4 campsites in a cul de sac right there. we're going to try to take all of them.
