Yes the Cajun microwave is coming back. Same ordeal... cook all day, drink a few "choice" beverages in-between, eat all night, have a few more above listed beverages

I'll put you down as bringing the charcoal. Thanks a bunch!
Also could u list that on the spread sheet too...

Sorry I couldn't help it, really though I know how you feel, I'm also anticipating my first trip to the Keys at the beginning of October...
Smaller trees and less of them. Although there are some fantastic hanging opportunities at the Hogs Breath Saloon...after they close...and we can all watch you on the live cams!

As for food, we will be discussing it more as the hang draws near. I can tell you a few things that we are expecting to happen. Granger will be providing the Friday night meal. I will be whipping up Saturday morning beignet and as far as I know Old River Rat is getting another hog for us to cook up the Saturday evening.

I am providing a meal for the group the Friday night. No sides, anyone who wishes, bring what ever side dishes/desert you'd like.

It is physically impossible for me to sleep and sweat at the same time.
You know me, if anybody here knows me....I got a fix for that. DRINK more, sleep LESS!!

I remember it took a good bit of charcoal, something like 30 / 40 pounds. Does anybody remember?
My ego said, SURE you can.

I'd grab a couple of those two packs from Lowe's. I think it's two twenty pound bags that are shrink wrapped together. Can't recall the exact cost. But I do remember thinking it wasn't a bad deal at all and that I personally could use it. I wanna say it was kingsford brand

Looks as if I'd better prepare some appetizers as we wait for the main course on Saturday.

Planning for the FL hang in Jan is underway. Including a few kids, we have 38 so far but last year I think it was 75-100. (!) for Saturday. There will be more.

My cream of mushroom soup on Friday night went down well because some people were pulling up late and didn't have time for a proper meal. I take a few cans and ask for others to bring and we just add to the pot. Worked out OK.

Then, since it was chilly, (23 degs. at night) I made hot chocolate in the morning.

Just throwing these to seem if anything grabs people. Don't have to be polite. If not a good idea or won't go with other planned meals that's OK.

You might like to see the sign-up spreadsheets they've done.

Hahaha. I've never seen a gator in Kincaid, however I have seen some good size gators throughout northern Louisiana. Bring the dog. Not a moon howler is it? I fear the snake before the gator, the spider before snake, and my wife above all.
