The dates will remain as first posted. Nov 7-10. This is the same weekend as Fairfield hang, but we had to keep it this date due to previous family obligations.

I was at the Butt bake with the guy in charge of the Fairfield hang this past weekend. Super guy by the way. We talked and he asked to accommodate ourselves and LA hangers first. He was not at all concerened about the two hangs on the same weekend because most folks wouldn't do two hangs on back to back weekends.

There are two loops, one with improved sites and one that is primitive with only a privy. You can use the showers at the improved loop. I think, don't hold me to this, that the primitive loop is cheaper than $15? You will need cash. I am cool with either and both, they are walking distance apart. A communal improved site just for cooking and gathering might be worth considering.

The lake is pretty large and can accommodate paddlers as well as power boaters for fishing or just boating. I think the beach is closed that time of year. The $15 includes one boat ramp fee per site, per day.

There are numerous trails for hiking and mountain biking, you can connect to the Wild Azalea trail fairly easily.

Don't forget it is deer hunting season also. There is no hunting allowed within the boundaries of Kincaid Recreation area. Many of the trails take you out into the National Forest, if so you should be wearing hunter orange to avoid any accidents. All that being said, there could be the opportunity for a deer hunt on the hang also. How about some fresh venison?

Lots of trees for hanging at most all of the sites.

I think this hang covers the power boaters, paddlers, fishermen, bikers, hikers, hunters and just plain ol hangers.

I could see the spread sheet but I could not add my name. Ryan can make it, I will probally make it up the evening of the 8th and I can share a campsite. I would like to camp in the primitive area that swankfly is talking about.

Now I got 2 trips to look forward to this fall.

I can swing the 7th. May not be able to stay the weekend. But want to hike some of the trials. May get there a day early to get some hiking in.
