I don't think you will run into many problems near Philly. I've camped all around the area and no one has ever given me grief about my hammock.
A few campground suggestions.
French Creek State Park would be a good place to try. It has assigned sites & bathrooms. I've camped there several times with my hammock. Nice hiking. A big lake. About a 1 hour drive from Philadelphia.
Blue Rocks Campground would also be a good place to try. I've stayed there several times with my hammock as well. It is right at the base of the A.T. ridgeline. You can do short day hikes to The Pinnacle and Pulpit Rock. The camp has a lot of stuff for kids too (huge boulder field, playground, pool, rides around camp on an old restored fire truck, etc) Plenty of options there to keep your granddaughter entertained. That is a 1.5 hour drive from Philly.
If you wanted to cross into NJ, Parvin State Park would also fit the billl. That is another park where I have hammock camped. That is a 45 minute drive from Philly.

Jhunt87 wow thanks for the info that will be very helpfull.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.
Another place in NJ. Atsion campground in the pine barrens. They allow hammocks. Site 10 is great with nice view of the lake.
Last year I went to Cowans Gap State park in PA, had no problems setting up there. So, there shouldn't be any problems for you.
Ricketts Glen state park is a beautiful place, i live pretty close to there never camped over night because i love backpacking. I have however hiked the falls trail which if i remember correctly has 23 or 24 beautiful waterfalls plus there is a lake with a beach. i have heard of others hanging there with no problem.

Look up "TurtleDog Stand". A TD stand is a combo of TurtleLady and Olddog using designs from both members to make a semi-portable sturdy stand for anywhere you can carry by vehicle or strong back. Or backyard like yours. All materials are easy to get if you have a big box store near you.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
