    "Kalisto" Travel Hammock?

I'm well aware that "you get what you pay for"... but at $19? With some mods, perhaps it would be usable for a low-budget season?

    Kalisto Travel Hammock @ WallyMart

I can't find any reviews - either good or bad - about this product on the web, which worries me; I think I might have to find out what $19 gets me in a travel hammock... and go write some reviews.

Anyone have any experiences with Kalisto products?

That can't be right. Is it made by Lawson or something?

It's short too. Less than 10' long and take a look at the guy in the picture, he barely fits in the hammock; does not look like a good night's rest. Didn't you say you were 6'3" tall in the other thread bukkit? I doubt you'll get much enjoyment from this hammock.

For a more serious reply - the kalisto I wouldn't trust, because it's walmart junk. The second link, however, is made by The Travel Hammock, now known as Grand Trunk. They post on this forum and at least seem reasonably reputable. However, the Travel Hammock ultra light model is only 9'6" long, just a touch shorter than the walmart model. Either way you're looking at a really short hammock - bigger ones might be more comfortable.

If you're looking at simple, lightweight, no-frills hammocks, Eagles Nest Outfitters, Trek Light, The Travel Hammock aka Grand Trunk, Warbonnet Outdoors, and others make quality travel hammocks. Or, if you want a cheap hammock with a bug net built in, the Grand Trunk skeeter beeters are tough to beat price-wise.

All high quality hammocks! Plus, you can use the REI 20% coupon and pick up an ENO double for about $51! Not that I would do such a thing.
If you go with a Travel style hammock be sure to get the double version. The comfort level is much higher than the singles IMO.

Are double hammocks the way to go? I'm 6'0" @ 190lbs. I don't want to be too long or wide.
