Did my hammock cure my motion sickness?

So that is the question. I used to get really sea sick. And I have to admit, but usually only secretly, that I got a little queasy when I first started hanging. Now no problem hanging and the gentle rock is welcomed. I just got back from a ferry trip on Lake Michigan. Not terrible conditions but bad enough I would have gotten sick. But I had no problems! I attributed it to my hammock time. Any thoughts?

It is pure speculation on my part but its possible that the gentle swaying you experience in your hammock has, for lack of better terms, accustomed or acclimated the tiny little hairs (silia sp?) in your inner ear to experiencing motion when you yourself are not generating movement.

Whatever the reason, glad to hear the problem seems to be gone.

    I noticed a difference too.

First time I slept in my hammock it was way comfy, but the swinging nauseated me something awful. I noticed each time I slept in the hammock it took less and less time to adjust to the swing and last week while camping I had no problems. I didn't even think about it until I read this thread.

    Possible side benefit? I'm hopeful.
