    ENO doublenest v. ENO singlenest

Okie, I'm an average sized female, neither big nor small and I picked up one of the ENO doublenests for myself. It is possible that the boyfriend might like to sit in mine with me...but he also has an ENO doublenest so there is no need for me to necessarily have a doublenest based on weight limits.

Can anyone tell me why I'd be happier with the doublenest over the singlenest? I originally was thinking that I like to lay and sit funny and that the doublnest would give me more room...I think I was afraid of falling out of it or something, but I've noticed that the doublnest has a lot of extra fabric that, if the wind is blowin right, will flip up and cover me. I find it annoying and somewhat suffocating. Does anyone else experience this?

    Any advice?

I have a TrekLight Double and I also found the extra fabric to annoy me when it flaps around in the wind. I have an ENO Singlenest that I'll use in the backyard if it's windy for lazy afternoons when I want to read.

ETA - that's not to say I don't like my TL Double. I love it! (Just not when it's windy!)

Yes, floppy fabric can be quite irritating. How tall are you? I think that's the best way to determine single vs. double. My opinion is anybody over 5'10" should look at the double and skip the single. Not that the single is uncomfortable, but the double lets a taller person get a little flatter by allowing for a greater diagonal position. JMO

Im between 5'8 and 5'9....but I sleep in a fetal position with my knees pulled up to my chest --half on my side--half on my back. I'm a little concerned the singlenest won't be wide enough...

Good to know I'm not the only one with floppy hammock sides

One solution that I really like to the flappy fabric folly is to use it as an 'arm hammock'. Almost feels like laying in a nice recliner. But, since you are a curled-up sleeper I guess that isn't an option. Can't help you with that, I sleep on my back like a dead man in a hammock.

I have a singlenest and find it plenty roomy. I'm 5'9"+, stocky (polite way of saying I'm fatter than I want to be), and sometimes pull up my knees (if it's cold), though usually sleep on my side or side/back... the singlenest works great for me in all those positions.

I would go with the double simply because of the extra room.

That's exactly why I got the DoubleNest, for the extra room. It's why Dancer got it as well. It gives that extra little bit of room to make things extra comfy.

    BTW,

That extra fabric in a double hammock does have some advantage.

get the double I have the single and you can't lay diagonally AT ALL. I regret not getting the double...I am a 6' male and the singlenest is quite constricting.
