Changing clothes

When camping, I usually change in my tent. Is this difficult in a hammock?

depends (no, not THOSE)
You can sit on your hammock, legs out and change.
Or, lay down and change.
Shirts, no issues, I'm talking shorts/pants/underwear.
Sitting is easier, but maybe less private.

It's pretty hard to see in through noseeum mesh in day light under a tarp. Easy to see out but not in.
I don't really worry about it too much anyway. You can always toss your TQ over you while you change.

For the females in my family, I give them my Superfly tarp. They can have as much privacy as a tent.

I usually change outside.... That sends everyone else running for cover..
Easier for me............Not so much for them.....

You just have to re-think through the process. Things are different in a hammock no doubt about that. Being that most of my camping is done with a Boy Scout Troop that truck camps in state parks mostly I have developed my own system. There is an issue of less privacy that you will be aware of and standing up and getting dressed out in the open is not accepted when minors are in view. In general on a cold night after the scouts have finished in the bathrooms and showers. I will take my night gear to the shower, and change into it after a shower. (No exposure) I'll return and before I climb in I'll put my pants that I plan to wear for the next day in my bag up near my feet. I hang tomorrows socks on the ridgeline. I then climb in and swap out the socks I just wore from the showers with fresh wool dry socks being careful to dry my feet and extra time (I always keep a pair of wool socks in my hammock to sleep in). I also hang these damp socks on the ridge line. The next morning it is not too much more trouble to shed a layer of pajama bottoms and exchange them for jeans while in the hammock, put on today's socks then get out fully dressed for the morning.

I find it easier to change in a tent because of the ridged floor that is also not swaying. Wait! Those are the reasons I now hammock. Semi seriously, in practical terms related to privacy, ease of changing, and staying out of the dirt, tents are better changing rooms. Large tarps with doors are helpful. Putting shoes on is easy from a hammock. Practice makes it easier so you don't wind up looking like a Circe d Solie acrobat

I've never had issues getting dressed inside the hammock in the morning. My wife gets changed elsewhere before getting in as do the kids.
If I'm changing during the day I just go in the hammock area and change. I'm not that shy.
