    Fabric for tablecloth hammock

I am interested in making a tablecloth hammock and I was wondering what the best fabric would be for the hammock?

When folks here talk about a DIY "tablecloth hammock", they almost exclusively mean these: CLICK HERE or similar in a larger size like 90 x 132. A few people have tried the polyester versions seen HERE with mixed reviews.

    Good luck!!!!

Would this be a no sew project and which one do you recommend?

You can whip the ends for a no sew hammock. I always use the crinkle taffeta. Now just pick a color and enjoy your new hammock!

It can be. Knotty's method is a great way to get yourself into a no-sew tablecloth hammock in a hurry. Very comfortable and easy to do. These tablecloths' hems are tiny so you'll have to gather the ends with mason's line or some other cord that's really really small. But that's okay, because the gathering of the end is just to create the bulky knob on the end that can't slip through the suspension. In other words, the cord you use to make the gather is not structural.

OR, you can whip the ends as Junebugdawn mentioned. Just Jeff has easy-to-follow instructions on whipping hammock ends.

    Best of luck to you!

There's always Speers method of just tying an overhand knot in both ends as well. I have whipped ends on mine.
