Question Alright! what about undercovers for summer nights

Do you folks think an under cover like used for the HHSS would work for say 50°-60°?
I know ever sleeper will differ but has anyone used an undercover by its self?
And can they be purchased from anyone other than HH? (I don't want the open bottom for entry to let the wind in)

I should have mentioned I own a HHSS but want something for my other hammocks when I take others with me and when I am trying to save space by my self.

The super shelter works great for summer and some have gotten way below 50 in it. I am sure you could have someone custom make you one if you don't want an HHSS.

I own a SS and would like another under cover or something like it, just don't know who makes them.

It wouldn't be hard. Just a windproof piece of fabric, channels sewn on each end, and corner loops sewn on... Add some light shock cord in the channels, and some for suspension...

Heck, send me the fabric and $7 for shipping and I'll make it for you . . .

I think if your looking for a under quilt for 50 to 60 degrees from someone other than Hennessy, you can't go wrong with JRB (http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/sierra-stealth/). 16 oz is pretty light for a full size quilt or you could save another two oz with their 3/4 length, 14 oz Greylock3 quilt. Not sure a quilt protector would get you down to 50 degrees, especially if there is much wind involved. I do think a quilt protector would work to 60 degrees in just about any wind.

Dri Ducks poncho with Weathershield Mod will perform that way and be very breathable yet windproof to reduce the condensation issues.

I have plenty of insulation, I am trying to get something that packs small and just cuts the wind, no insulation.
