One possible solution might be to set the Facebook privacy setting to "private". This would limit the audience to members only. Just a thought.

    Good point.

It is now set where only members can see posts.

Now I need to change my phone recorder message to say I can't come to the phone, not that I am out of town for the week and the house is an easy target.

The FB page was set up as a backup form of communication. My hope once again is that all trip planning conversation be on this thread, both places are fine, but at least on here so that any HF member interested in reading can find it accessible.

Just because we cant harvest it doesn't mean we cant go find it!!!

Many counties have websites that allow anyone to view property tax information using only a property owner's name. From the websites, anyone can find property addresses. For example, on the Williamson County Appraisal District's public website, I could find out that Donald Smith owns a house at 123 Main Street in Georgetown, TX.

Knowing that Donald Smith will be out of town on a camping trip leaves Donald Smith's home vulnerable to a break-in.

I think the Facebook idea is an awesome one, which is why I joined it. But I do have concerns.
Wow... scary. Kudos to you for your awareness!!

Almost daily, I sit in amazement with my FB contacts. They post "THIS IS TERRIBLE! FB GIVING out OUR information........follow the following 23 cryptic steps to......" spam stuff......and 2 minutes later post about their upcoming vacation, or post photo's how they are enjoying their vacation in Alaska.....
Bet they will blame the local police when they return to a house devoid of TV's, Computers, Silverware...........

Put Pamela and I down as definite maybes... looking ahead, I see business travel getting in the way... but if not, we'll be there for sure.

I love this! Hope to see you.

+1+1+1+1 to TexasGrrl for noticing and mentioning the security
issue with Facebook. Perhaps there doesn't need to be an RSVP
on Facebook. We have the document list, and the RSVP might make
people think that is all that they have to do.

Perhaps group can just point to this thread, and they can read about
spreadsheet and other stuff that they need to do. This could help
bring new members back to HF /recruit +1.....

    Hey Shane!!!

I hope it works out where you can make it, I'd love to hang out with you two again.

Hopefully the conversation will be about that last strike out pitched to end the last winning game in late October.

In three months, it'll be a memory.

Less than 90 days out and over 60 signed up so far!

Don't worry, there's plenty of trees for twice that many.

If you have not added or updated your information to the spreadsheet, please take a minute or two to do that.

Also, if interested in the group buy of amsteel line, please indcate that as well so we can decide if we want to do it again or not.
