Maybe find some rock outcroppings you could use. Just be real careful. Or maybe you would be better served with a 1 man tent setup like the one below instead. I almost went this route especially for the money but decided to go with the hammocks when I got offered a sweet deal on a WBBB 1.1 Double.Originally Posted by kyle1112

Go to ground & use the tarp as a cover. I also carry a military gortex bivy sack & pad along just in case. But, if possible, I'd head back down to the trees. Not going to find much above the tree line except goats.
