    This has NEVER happened B4

I was sleeping in my usual spot: Hammock in the back yard. It got so HOTI HAD to come it to the AC. No breeze, Then the clouds rolled in, they didn't bring rain, just insulation, so as it got dark, it got HOTTER. By 2200 I could take no more & went in.

Wow, I have been able to stand: well below freezing, SEVERE Thunder storms, even HOT weather. This was way beyond anything I have ever dealt with! Humidity at what felt like 3,000% & Heat index around 100 or so.

Going to try again tonight, don't hold much hope though.

Had I been out hiking, I would have slept in a creek!!

Heard from family the weather in ohio has been less than desireable the past few weeks. With the rain and now heat. Makes me glad I moved for the summer!

    Humidity can be a killer.

I live on the NC coast and each spring/summer we wait to see how long we can hold out before we have to turn on the AC. We have ceiling fans through out the house but once that humidity gets to a certain point we have to turn on the AC and it does not seem to be related to the temp. I have lived in the Californian desert so I know what hot is

Same here in Milwaukee. Almost unbearable, they were calling for a heat index of 104 here today. Car said 96 at 6:30 pm on my way home, we're not used to that here at all. Can cut the humidity with a knife.

In Toronto today, the heat was punishing, too. I can't imagine what it's like further south.

    This has NEVER happened B4

It was 96 on my way into work today at 1630, and they are saying Friday is supposed to be the hottest day of the year, here in Indpls, I couldn't imagine being in the woods in these temps. I hope this isn't any inclination what August is going to be like...

Just came in from the yard and was reading in my new WBRR.I was not planning on sleeping out because it is a work night and 95% humidity is a killer.I noticed at dusk it was cooler and as the humidity rose it FELT hotter even though the temps were dropping.

I live in a woods in Southern Indiana,,and it was couple of degrees cooler than Indy was,,cause of the forests,,,but,,the humidity and dew point is cracking 80% each in the hot sun,,,with no breeze...so its hot,,,and I did mow my grass about 2pm this afternoon like a fool. Can't even fish now its so hot,,and little to no bites from the fish at nite either,,just the skeeters and the chiggers is all that is biting!

Even far upstate in NY, the weather is oppressive. I'm a mailman, and it has been brutal out on the pavement every day. I can't wait for it to cool off! I'm trying hard to conjure up memories of those single-digit days in the winter when I fight to keep the feeling in my hands, but I'm unable to incite the slightest shiver.

    Take it easy,
