    Too hot.

I am ready for summer to be over, I want to hang my hammock. I enjoy the cold but I can not stand the heat.

Well IMHO hot and humid or cold and bitter any night spent in a hammock is better then a night in the bed. But I agree Ive come to enjoy cold weather hanging over hot and humid hanging any day. But in reality with as little as I get to hang now a days Ill take whatever I can get.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

It'isn't too hot to sleep out here in Syracuse. Mid 80s at night, but even an afternoon nap in the shade is a bit stifling!

Right now,,in southern Indiana,,temp is 88,,,dew point is 79%, humidity is 77%, and it feels like temp is 103. High temp for today was 94 and they say next couple of days is going to be a few degrees hotter. Not hanging in this outdoors,,but will sleep like a baby inside hanging. And its 68 inside!

I'm not sure where the discussions were, but a battery operated fan hung from your internal ridgeline, making white noise, blowing on your face is pretty fine.

Going to be in the bush barely north of the Catskills next week. Picked up a mini hand fan with a plastic carabiner to hand from the ridge line if it gets soupy at night, but looking forward to the trip either way!

I hate sticking to my hammock! I much prefer cool to down right cold weather. Like I always tell people who think I am crazy for loving cold weather. I can always keep warm but when its hot there is nothing you can do to cool off, unless Im by the water.

I thought this is what hammocks were invented for. This weather is beyond jungle? The one thing I don't like is in the morning for some reason it's damp and I have to air it out at a midday halt. Does anyone else have that problem?
