    Selecting a Tarp help

I'm in the market for a tarp and I was looking for some suggestions. I was hoping to find something cat cut with pull tabs made by a cottage vendor. Also looking to spend under $200. Any advice, suggestions, or links are welcome! Thanks.

The possibilities are endless with your budget. Some people (um, I might have been one of them) join the forum looking for a great tarp for $25, but they don't exist.

If you want 4-season protection, you can't beat the Warbonnet Superfly (19 oz, $130). The WL Tadpole is less coverage, but very popular (11.5 oz, $85).

Thank you, I was just looking at the WB Superfly and wondering if that would be overkill or not. About to go check out that WL Tadpole now. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't think the WB Superfly is overkill - I like a tarp with doors to combat blowing precipitation. A good tarp is the single most important part of your gear 'cause if you get wet, you won't be happy.

That could be a very long list with every cottage vendor on it. Don't think your list of requirements eliminates any of us from the list.

More details may help though, are you backpacking or car camping, what size tarp for over what size hammock.
