Well, if I ever make it down under I know who I'm calling to accompany me on a hike! Thanks for the report.

I woke up from a nap and watched your vid. No coffee required. Waterfalls sans water are interesting! Thank you for the video.

You might try a millinery supply place for a plastic brim "wire" for your hat.
You'll have to do a little bit of surgery on the hat, slip the plastic tube thing in, between the edge of the hat and the next row of stitching. Then join the ends.
Some plastic "wire" requires you fuse the ends with a match (you might accidentally cook your hat) and some have a ferrule thing that will join the ends.
The brim wire always needs to be longer than you think it needs to be.

    Back in Action

Big problems down here! For most of today, I haven’t been able to load the Hammock Forums website (poor me). I kept getting an error message:

    This page can't be displayed

I thought my video must have broken it. Maybe the video put it to sleep.

It sure is winter here at the moment. I rug up by doning a thermal t-shirt. The nights can get a little cool, but for the most part, the days are pretty mild. Perfect hiking and hanging weather really. That doesn't stop me from complaining about the so-called cold. Thanks for taking a look at the video, and for commenting, Country Roads!

Are you sure you didn’t fall asleep while watching the video. lol Sounds dangerous, whatever happened.

You see, that’s why the Hammock Forums is so great, your hat, rim, wire, idea is a great one! Thanks for including all the little tricks and tips too, very helpful! I’ll see what I can do. You are welcome for the video, E.A.Y.

No worries, nu2hike, it sure is nice around that area! I’m liking the less travelled path too and plan to do more of it. It’s a good/safeish winter thing to do.

I enjoyed the off track adventure BrucieHi5. Thumbs up and only one cup of coffee.
Watching you climb gave a great idea of the dimension of things - bigger than I first thought.
Good decision on the black moss, don't want to see you on an "I survived" show.

The Solo Hike That Went Off Track

===> Thanks for another great video report, Brucie! And for the warnings...I hid a backpack full of knives before watching! Good thing, too, 'cause I wanted to stab myself when you decided to climb the second waterfall covered in black moss!

I thought, "This guy is gonna kill himself falling on this thing, and then I won't have any more BrucieHi5 trip videos to watch!" Glad you made a good decision to abort the climb!

The area looks great - parts of it looked like the White Mountains here in New England. Thanks again for taking us along, and showing people how to enjoy playing in the wild!

Another fun trip report thanks for sharing and not falling down the cliff faces you encountered.

Bruciehi5 will probably agree with me, winter has hit with a vengeance today.

Tomorrow suppose to be colder than today.

I wonder if I can tempt you with some of my muffins I baked in the Donated Members section bruciehi5? I will be down your way in September. Hint Hint.
