Hammock Stand from Lowes

I found a heavy duty hammock stand in Lowes today, $117.00. The stand is 15' long and will support up to 400 lbs. I tried my Bias Winnie on the stan at found that i couldn't adjust it enough to keep it off the ground. So, I pulled out the Grand Trunks Ultralight and wouldn't you know it works. I plan on using the stand this weekend for a car camping trip at a location that has no trees. If the temps stay like this for the rest of the week I'm going to roasting at night.

item here There are others at Lowe's. up to the $500 wooden one that looks really nice, but...$500? I can plant 2 really nice, mature, trees for that price.

Looks like one I got a couple of years ago from a hammock store at a Tangiers Outlet store.

I can hang a ENO DN from it and have done so and have used it a couple of nights to sleep in. However I can not get the angle right so it was not a very comfortable night. Only reason I used it was because we were having some work done in the bedroom and it is too hot and humid right now to sleep outside.

I have the same stand. It was too low for my Hennessy DJXL to stay off the ground so I built a TurtleLady stand instead. It's my "laboratory" in the back yard for testing out new hammocks / tarps / suspensions / bugnets etc.

Just to let you know, I have a similar stand that I use in the bedroom for my ENO DN. I had extensions made to raise the height of the ends about 12-14 inches. This made hanging my hammocks much more enjoyable / useable.

I have been using the original pipe extensions for over 3 years now with no problems. Others have had bending issues with the type of pipe they used but mine are just exhaust pipe bent at a muffler shop.
