    Yeti, Greylock, or Phoenix?

I'm adding an UQ to the arsenal for my WBBB. 20 degree should do it. I can live with a 3/4 UQ. Prices vary enough between these that I can't decide! I guess I'm addicted to high quality gear and I buy the best I can afford, so I can keep it a long time. I don't know about JRB or HG as I don't have any of their products and can't judge how their stuff holds up, so I need to ask the experts what distinguishes these different UQ form each other. I'm leaning towards Yeti as I'm impressed withe Brandon's product thus far and have a few items from him.

I can say that HG quality is just as top notch as WB. I have an Incubator and love the differential cut with the leg shelf, it cradles me perfectly.

Another product that is different than the others is the Enlightened Equipment UQ's. They lack nothing in the quality department and IIRC they are a tad bit less expensive. Not by much though and not that it matters a heck of a lot.

I'm leaning towards the ProdigyX 20F UQ myself at the moment. A synth quilt. For only a small weight penalty of 2.5oz you don't have to worry about feathers flying into the wilderness because of a tear. I'm pretty anal and know it too.
    Good Luck!

P.S.: I still have much to learn. But my ProdigyX 40F top quilt is rocking these New England mountains this spring and summer. I'll be watching this thread closely to learn more....

JRP seems to put tremendous amount of thought into explaining their philosophy and quality and technology they use....and 169$ right now for 3 season.

They all make terrific gear. I have kit from all of them. Mostly just differences in design shape and baffle widths and direction. Never been cold in any of them especially when used correctly.

The Shugness! Price (JRB sale) is obviously guiding somewhat here, but are any UQs more bombproof than the others? Again I can't try them all out....I'm guilty of the expensive one must be a better one syndrome, but I'm slowly getting better in my old age..... Thanks!

Shug I have a 6 month old boy and it's 100F out down here in Dallas. Summer sucks in TX to be equitable about it.

    Obrigado.

Yes, they are pretty much legendary. I'm sure I could sleep in their stuff as well as anyone's or better even. I've no vested interest in any outdoor gear.

I guess some of the things that made up my mind were:

    The insulation type.
    Coverage.
    Versatility.
    Weight.
    Color.
    Baffle type.

Last was lead-time and price (to a certain point)

And after all of that I STILL have not decided....heh

    Good Luck!
