I grew up RVing with my parents. Once I was in my teenage years I wanted more space so I started tenting on their site. Now that I am married and in my late 20's, we go tent camping. I also really enjoy hiking while camping and hiking at my local Metro and State parks. I've been reading more and more about backpacking and stumbled upon the concept of using a hammock instead of a tent, then I found this forum.
Can't wait to learn more! I'm thinking DIY might be a good way to go, but I'm new so we'll see where I end up.
