    zippers

    thinking about the hh stash pocket.are there zippers i should stay away from? who makes the best zippers.

    YKK far away the most common and the best.

    Don't they pretty much own the entire industry? I can't remember the last time I looked at a pair of pants and didn't see the YKK stamp on the zipper pull

    Zippers

    Went to a local fabric store "Hancock Fabrics" and they had a sale rack with different color zippers from 9" to 24" long. For .25 cents

    At least here in Europe you can find very poor quality plastic zippers that should be kept away from any gear you want to rely on,some glide smoothly in the beginning many don`t even do that, the teeth break off after some time and they wear out quickly.They look flimsy are available in many colors (look slightly washed out mostly) and are available in several sizes, i think those are easily identified...(some have a fake ykk stamp)

    I think these might qualify as not sufficient for critical applications but prototypes. That's obviously just a guess though.
