Just finishing my first DIY tarp and I am applying seam seal. My question is do I seam seal the grosgrain edges? What are any advantages or disadvantages. Thanks for your assistance.

On my DIY winter tarp, I only seam-sealed the seam along the ridgeline. My thought was that I don't really care if the edge of the tarp gets wet; that's not the part that's keeping me dry
Reasons not to seamseal:
-Takes less time
-Tarp is lighter
Reasons to seamseal:
-Completionist
-???

+1! what he said... sealing the grosgrain would just trap water, you want it to breathe so it will eventually dry... the point of seam sealing is to keep from getting dripped on...

That's what I was thinking. Thanks.
