well, what's the verdict on your experiment???
sounds like you might be adding another filter to it like a pre filter or something
Ok for you X i'll tell ya what i'm doing. Now to start this is something that I will love or not use at all. The end of the filter where the clean water comes out will be cut down and drilled to accept this http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/ite...7292&catid=926 a S.S. nut will secure it to the filter. This will lighten a tiny bit but reduce all the extra attachments. I ordered one quick connect with a valve that shuts when disconnected and one that always flows. I haven't decided what one to use yet. very simple mod 15-20 minutes tops to make look pretty. If i I use the one without the valve it will work like the new mini sawyer but be a quick connect as well.

okay now I want one
How did this end up working out for you, krs? I've got one of these that got left in the bed of my truck in a bag over Christmas. I'm thinking it's toast, as I'm not sure it ever warmed up enough to dry out since the last time I used it.
It worked out great, check out this link. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=79562 thanks for the offer but no need for it. My idea is kinda outdated with the introduction of the mini.
