I'm 6' and just didn't like the fit as its a short hammock. I prefer the 11' for total comfort,,but that is just me. I do have a 10' that I really enjoy,,but its made from M 90 MR material. The GTUL gave me a lot of knee pain and I just couldn't find a sweet spot.

I plan to - I am only 5.6 , so I don't think the size will be an issue. I will let you know when I do.

I'm 5'7" and around 180. I got the UL a few years back and have since bought a second one for my wife (before I got the BB for me ). For someone my size it's a great hammock and will serve you well, even on over night trips.

My one tip (and I wish I had done this sooner) is to swap out the stock s-hooks for something like whoopies.

I used a GTUL for my go to hammock for many months and did not have any problems. I keep a couple of extra GTULs around just to give to friends and family. They are great for the price and with a change in suspension they make a great backpacking/camping hammock.

    Re: GT UL overnighter

Mine may have been worse then most... but the sides were very loose, like the length was greater a TV the sides the middle. There was no head support and if you tride to use a pillow it would follow away, even with knotty mod.

Otherwise it was small but not terrible. The majority of times it has come up most people seem like they would prefer not to use it for sleep... but as long as your sides are not as floppy as mine I am sure it would work...

At 5'6" and around 180 the GTUL is not even close tow comfortable hammock for me. It has worked ok for my 9 yr old for the past 4 years.
