Did anyone ever try coating a diy tarp with this? I would like to treat in coated nylon ripstop 1.9. Thanks

I have been eyeballing this also. They first time I seen it I didn't buy it as I thought the build height would be excessive. Now I think it coats more like other fabric sprays.....

neat video
I think Life Scout's tarp was the neverwet. He had it at "the no underquilt hang" this past weekend.
It looked pretty neat like lightning due to the streaks it left.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Would you recommend silicone spray vs the neverwet. The video is nice I wish they would test it next to other products!
Honestly, I'd just use silnylon and be done with it. With any sort of spray on coating like that you're going to run into limited permanence and you can't really see whether or not the spray-on is still effective until it's too late, unless you hose your tarp down before every trip.
Zooshooter very true but the tarp I built last year and it's uncoated. I built it that way to keep Lost down because I never sold anything before, but it came out ok.
I will do a test and post soon, using neverwet and silicone
I spray allot of camp stuff (backpack, tent, tarp, raincoat, shoes, etc) with the CRC HD silicone spray. Cheap, wallmart stocks it, and it works but it is also not permanent.
Ok neverwet does not work too good on fabric, I used it on black webbing and gear bag. It's now a milky white/blue in color it's tacky to the touch and gives the finished fabric a rough look/feel. I will stick to silicone spray!
I was thinking of spraying atlas straps, yes/no?
