Hello! Names Shawn, not totally new to hammocking, bought my Ticket to the Moon at a surplus store 12 years ago just because, still using it today. Never thought of hammocks as more than something to throw up to take a quick nap in, but im quickly seeing how versatile they can be!
Right now, i just have my Ticket, with a fixed 80% ridgeline going to ultralight stainless shackles, and either whoopies or straight tieout for suspension. Just bought fabric to make a few more though, very excited to get into the diy part of it more. Also have two ENO tarps, which i love. No bugnets yet, gotta get a sewing machine first.
Love the forum, love how friendly and helpful the atmosphere is, and the wealth of knowledge on here is ridiculous!!! Day one i was already makin a list of diy projects to get into...
Anyone in the greater Toledo area, id love to get together for a hang sometime, or an overnight hike or camp. Cheers, and happy hangin!!!
