    Bear Grylls Hammocks?

Just saw these on Bear Grylls's store. They have one with a bugnet and one without. What are y'alls thoughts? Worth preordering? links attached

All I can do is smile. You will probably get both ends of the spectrum on this.

First, welcome to HF - 2nd you can probably get the same thing for half the price. Only an opinion, not a fact. I have not read about his hammocks, only briefly looked at them online. Also I am a bit of a newbie myself.

    Good luck!

This was mentioned in this thread. Thought you might get some opinions here. Welcome to HF. There are tons of options for hammocks. I would advise looking around a little before ordering anything. If you can get to a group hang, you can check out all different kinds of setups and see what you like. Have fun!

Personally I think Bear has a very entertaining show. However after reading so many reviews about his tools and clothing being made from low quality materials I have decided that I will not spend any of my money on his products. Just my 2 cents.

Bear's promotional stuff is usually better on it's second issue.

Some even say the knife is actually functional, now at this point.

you are not missing much in this case - just more commentary on the show. OTOH you are missing a lot of good camping but not hammock related information.
    YMMV

If you buy a thouand of the ones with the bug net you can get them for $7.00 each.

If you buy a thousand without the bug net, you get them for $2.00 each

But he probably had to pay extra to get them in orange and have his logo pasted on them.

General consensus...over priced and low on quality.
