Had two regular length regular width straight tapers.
Sold them and bought two regular length wide half tapers.
Enjoy the extra width to wrap around and the less aggressive taper for some extra wiggle room.

I'm 6'1 and 180 lbs. Just got a regular length half taper and it was great.
Perhaps for a colder weather bag if I wanted to be able to cover my head I'd go with a longer length.

Coach
I'm 6' 205lbs I found this thread very helpful in picking out my Burrow 20* I just ordered a 20* one time over sown foot box standerd.
I let y'all know how it works for me.
I'm 6' and about 275lbs, the regular length burrow is perfect for me. Just long enough that i can cover most of my head with it (not long enough to tuck). I also have a golite quilt in Long, and I prefer the regular length quilt. With the long, I found my feet would often slip out of the footbox when the fabric bunches.
Is there any specific reason the 0° Burrow is longer than the others? (standard 78" vs 74")
I purchased a Burrow 0 LONG.. and man is it LONG. Seriously.
I'm 6' tall and 170lb. I love my quilt.. but I think i could have done without the extra length.. I have tons of extra material around my head/shoulders. Comes in handy when the temps get down really low. And allows me to move around and side sleep.. without uncovering me. But if you are a back sleeper and don't cover up your head.. regular length will most likely be fine.
If life gets any better.. I'll need a tranquilizer!
I would have ordered a short 0° Burrow if I knew the standard was longer than the other standard quilts. In fact, I think this thing is total overkill for me...possibly another for sale thread coming and I haven't even used the thing yet
I saw the pictures of your quilts on another thread. I don't understand why it is that long? Maybe they made a mistake and cut it from the long pattern. I would email them and ask. Anyway unless you want the standard length for less weight the longer may come in handy for very cold nights.
I don't think it was a mistake. The long is even longer (83"). Not a huge deal, but extra bulk for me at 5'9".
The HG site does say it's 78" under the Specs. The 20 and 40 quilts both say 74".
I'm not really complaining, because like you said extra down doesn't hurt when it's this cold. The extra at the end sort of bunches up, keeping my feet warmer.
I see I thought all the standard were the same length. Good to know. They do make some nice quilts. My wife likes my 20* Burrow for cover while sitting in the recliner watching TV, this winter. Hope I get it back, LOL! She keeps asking me how much I spent for it and I dear not tell her.
