CryOTheWild's Bachelor Party Hang!!!

As some of you may know, I am getting married this November. I started planning a bachelor party camping trip/hang with some friends from the forums and a few from back home in SE WI. My family has a cabin on lake Rolling stone in Langlade, WI. If we don't hang on the property there, I think we could do some hiking out to Gilkey Lake or High Lake. This is not too far from the Nicolet National Forest. The dates are August 30th, 31st, and Sep. 1st. Since joining hammock forums over 2 years ago and meeting so many of you, I have turned my passion for the outdoors into a career as a wilderness skills instructor. It would mean a lot to me to celebrate with everyone doing what we do best and enjoying the great outdoors!

It would be great to have you! There are at least 5 other hangers already joining me. Some from the forums and some that are not. I think the total count is around 7 right now.

Hey Lorax, the location has been moved to s pot just north of Hayward I think the lake is Bass Lake. It wold be great to have you there...and the salmon crab cakes

The party location will be up near Hayward. It's a beautiful spot out in the woods with a fish filled lake far from people. There will be a mile or so hike into the woods and then we can set up camp. Since this trip is a bachelor party I think it's quite appropriate to bring alcohol. However, since I don't know what everyone likes, I think it would be best if everyone brings what they like and a bit extra to share. I'd like to do a steak and potato dinner one night so maybe we can break things down a bit so nobody is stuck with a big cost. I can get a bunch of corn for roasting and onions. Snipen said he he can pitch in for a few steaks, can someone else help him with that? Also would need potatoes, Bacon, maybe condiments and a role of foil, bacon, brats maybe or beans, bacon. I can bring my dutch oven for cooking up a cobbler or sloppy joes or breakfast with hash browns, peppers, eggs etc. Lets get a list going and see what we can come up with. Someone on the forms even mentioned crab cakes.

Hayward is too far a drive for the time I'll have out in the woods. I have zero vacation time built up at this new job. It sucks and really has me picking and choosing what I can do and when.

In honor of your upcoming wedding, I will forward you my salmon crabcake recipe once tweaked and finalized.
