I can see how the rope these hammocks comes with (super-paracord?) would be problematic both in stretch and water absorption.

What did you replace yours with?

Annnnd they are back again. I didn't miss them this time because now my boys want my hammock. $25 is cheap "stay away from my hammock" insurance while still letting them hang.

These are pretty nice for the price. I have tried to get my wife a hammock that she really liked for years. She is 5'2 and LOVES the mosquito hammock. We have tried most of the expensive brands and even bridge hammocks, and she still likes this one the best. I would say that these are perfect for kids, short folks, and/or cheapskates. I layed in the bug-net version, and I fairly comfy, but it was not perfect for my height (5'11). It felt like a grand trunk skeeter beeter to me. The no-net version is big enough for taller adults, but on all models the suspension is horrible and stretchy. Replace it and you are golden. I have not had a chance to stress test any of the models, but I have had no problems as of yet. I am really amazed that they can make money from a $25 bugnet version.

The only one available currently is the one without the net, since the one with the net is sold out. But that is not any special price. You can find the Grand Trunk UL Hammock on Amazon for $20.
