New Hammock - Fabric, no spreader, not sure how to hang!?!

Okay, first of all I am a complete newb to the world of hammocks so bear with me if my explanation is not the best.

So I brought home a fabric 2 person hammock from holiday and expected it to be a breeze to hang. Dum dum. I have unraveled it and while I knew there was no spreader, I expected more. What I have is a large piece of fabric with a hole going width-ways either end for a rope to go through so it can hang. But I only got one piece of "rope" (shoe lace) with it and am unsure as of my next move to make.

I don't think I would like to attach a spreader so I guess I need to know what type of rope I need to get in order to make my hammock complete..

Any help I can get here is soooo appreciated!!!

    Thank you in advance

Check out this thread regarding hammock suspension and continuous loops. The video may answer a few of your questions and provide a solution. The video was made by Dehoja ("The Ultimate Hang")

Welcome to the forum and the madness we all enjoy, as for you hammock suspension you can go in many directions amsteel is a very popular choice around here, a lot of the cottage venders here sell pre made whoopie slings made from amsteel or you can order from Redden Marine, or you can go to the hardware store and get some rope and some carabiners and some cheap poly ratchet straps from harbor freight, of you are a fan of YouTube look up Shugs videos, be has a really good 10 videos play list for us new guys to show us the ins and outs, aside from that he's very entertaining... Good luck and happy hanging

Or if you got the extra$ you can order some Dutch ware, be careful though I hear that stuff is addicting

Any way you can post a picture? (or Google the manufacturer to see if there's a photo of it online.) That would help us understand what you got. Maybe we can figure out how to get you hangin' without buying too much extra stuff.
