Itsandy has been our Yak Master in previous hangs and I'm hoping he steps up again.
There have always been about half a dozen boats more or less each year.
So I'm sure there will be a trip or two to local waters.
    As for races....
Anyone is welcome to use our boats (because I won't be).

Sorry Olddog. I wanted to get it started early because well last year there were two or three planning threads and three or four trip report threads!

Something so good is just meant to be shared I guess.

Of course you're right! Was on line today looking for kids stuff and have many other irons in the fire also. Guess it's time to get out of the hammock in the mornings and get my butt in gear. OOPS, there goes another twinge of excitement.

I'll be kayaking the Springs and am bringing at least two new hammock hangers who are my regular paddling buddies here in TN! So that will be 3 kayaks. Who knows they may want to race but I'll be exploring as usual.... I just love those beautiful spring fed rivers!
    Has anyone heard from Andy?

Andy has already signed up on the signup spreadsheet. I suspect Andy will have a paddle trip planned for Friday, one for Saturday, one for Sunday and one for Monday. The one that will take the longest is probably the Silver River Paddle. It's fantastic and there are MONKEYS (LOTS and LOTS of MONKEYS!).

I'm not sure which days paddles I'll be making this year, last year I only made one, this year I'd like to make two paddles.

Timber and I will be bringing our YAKS and if there is a shortage of available yaks we can bring a third that is a tandem.

The tandem yak is super stable and can take three if one or two of them are small.
In other words, it's perfect for taking out the young'uns.
That said, I don't have kid size PFDs. So if you're interested, PM me and we'll come up with some.

    Paddle?

Did I hear paddle? I'm in. Sorry for the delay. Life seems to be getting pretty busy. Thanks to a nudge, I was prompted to check in...

Yes, I will offer up a few paddle trips again this year. I'm going to change them up a bit. I'll get them all sorted out and get them posted.

    Looking forward to seein' Y'all!

(I'll try to monitor the thread a little closer)

I added a column to the Activities Spreadsheet for the Event Lead. Rather than make assumptions about who will be leading activities, I left those blank for now hoping some of you who have lead these activities in the past will be stepping up again. The exception to that is I put Olddog in as lead for the Kids Activities as he has already posted his intent in this thread.

FloridaHanger I am lazy so you have to add a column for your kayak races.

I encourage anyone who has an interest helping with an event to PM the event leader and offer your time and talent.

Also the spreadsheets are fully editable so other events can be added.
