So who else is scrambling to make more gear so they can have hang this weekend. Lol. Will it ever end.

Thanks to you, I don't have to make a UQP/gear hammock/hammock chair but, I'm contemplating making a new synth UQ to match my new synth TQ.
(And, thanks again for the hammock chair with suspension).
Buy my count on the attendence spreedsheet, we have about 143-145 or so hangers that include all ages. Whooooo Buddy!
If we can get to 200, we may go all around the lake.

Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
I am doing the knife sharpening class. I will be bringing multiple stones but if anyone coming to the class that wants to bring there own stones would be helpful.
I am so looking forward to this weekend.
On the subject of trash:
A lot of folks put their trash in the fire when they go camping, and that's usually okay. But please don't do that at this hang. There will be a lot of people sitting around the fire and there will be a lot of people cooking in the fire so we need to minimize the ashes.
Use the bear cans for all trash. Use the recycle can for plastic, glass and cans. And absolutely no plastic or styrofoam in the fire. Ever!
Thanks.

So many trees, so little time...
Speaking of trash and the bear cans... I remember last year that our trash cans ranneth over by late Saturday. It might be a good idea to talk to the rangers about alternate places we can take some of the garbage ("we would be glad to haul some of it away but need to know where we can legally dump it") or arrange for them to do a pick-up on Saturday afternoon/evening.
It is hard to tell but it's looking like there might be more people than last year. It's at least worth asking them about ahead of time.

I'm going to try to sew a UQ for my nephew so he doesn't have to sleep in a tent. But I only want to sew a longer tarp for my 11' hammock. I have a huge wide tarp I use for foul weather. But that's not the case this weekend. The nephew will hopefully be using that one.
I set up everything yesterday (I welcome advice on getting the UQ fitting properly since I don't have a second person around) and tried out the Slug Tube thingee. It's a humongous snakeskin!
I had the JRB Shenandoah UQ, double layer hammock with bugnet Switchback original, a not-too-thick down sleeping bag and the slug was quite loose, so I added the AHE Jarbridge 3/4 UQ that I'm planning to use as a top cover if it gets as cold as the two hangs I've attended.
Everything fit just fine. Looked like a body bag - with the body inside! They should have called it the Anaconda
Put my Backwoods Daydreamer 10x12 tarp in a mesh "snakeskin" I bought from one of our vendors and that fit nicely as well.
All of this went into a Golite Gust dyneema backpack that is almost as long as I am (5' but my dr says I've shrunk an inch!). Just as well it's car camping.
