To extend the usefulness of your ENO DN, check out the DIY section and look for Fronky's bugnet. If you can operate a sewing machine and sew a simple hem, it is a breeze to make.

That is what I made. I love the bugnet. It works great.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

+1 on Fronky's bug net. I'm no expert with a sewing machine, and it was not difficult. It is the easiest and quietest to get in and out of.

+1 on Dream Hammocks. I've been sleeping soundly in a Dangerbird for about a year. I have found it more comfortable than my son's Warbonnet Blackbird (though he now sleeps in a Dream Hammocks Darian Ultralight). We both sleep under Warbonnet tarps, though.

One of the differences I found between the WBB and the Dangerbird is that the bugnet is further from my face in the Dangerbird. I don't know if that's a function of how it's designed or ridgeline length, but I definitely find the Dangerbird roomier in that respect.

On the other hand, the shelf in the WBB is awesome to have. I like to read before I go to sleep, and a ridgeline organizer (as well-designed as Randy's are) isn't big enough for most of the books or magazines I tend to bring along to read on campouts. In the WBB, you can just chuck it up in the shelf along with your waterbottle and whatnot.

Overall, though, I prefer the Dangerbird.

Check the latest post raving ab Switchback hammocks in the Tree2Tree vendor forum. I know two people who prefer their Switchbacks to their Warbonnets.

Nice to get rid of the extra net when not needed. That alone would be the deal breaker to me. Doesn't seem like a big deal but in the end its a real nice thing to do.
i agree on the need to just get everything out of the way sometimes. What fabric did you go with for your dangerbird? the options seems too much...almost.

And I have not thought about the whole shelf vs. ridgeline organizer point. my instinct is to say ridgeline but idk really, i should probably lay in both to see for sure

I drape my book over the ridgeline in my DB, makes for a great book mark and with either the net or the cover deployed it doesnt move around.

I also picked up a peak bag from 2qZq for my down jacket/fleece, gloves etc.

and for pictures of my DB..

Inside with over cover deployed (This is a 10ft model 60in wide)

I made a couple of the Fronkey bug nets and love them. They fit all my hammocks and are easy to get in and out of than the built in bug nets and it is easier to adjust the UQ, for me anyway. They are also very light with no zipper or any hardware. I use 3/32 shack cord and a micro line lock

Hammocks with separate bug nets are too fiddly for me with extra cords etc. In Florida skeeters are out full time so the convenience of an all in one was my choice. WBBB is compact and easy to set up.
