I've had this issue as well. I am a snorer, so I tend to notice it happening when it's cold out. Great comment about wearing a buff to sleep I'll definitely give that a shot.

I try to hang a certain way to keep my head up. Otherwise, everything within a two mile radius suffers hearing loss. I've been known to clear out campsites 1/4 mile away.

Have dealt with a swollen uvula maybe half a dozen times in my life, and have traced a few of those to snoring issues. The other times --- ???? No fun regardless.

I snore in a hammock if I don't use a neck pillow. Also will wake up with a sore neck and a headache. But with a pillow, all is well!

I will also snore without something under my neck, I usually roll up a fleece and wrap it around my neck and no more sore throats in morning

Mostly this is from smoking and drinking and snoring all together.

P.S. uvula sounds like a dirty word hehehe

I had the same problem as well. Mine went after a week. But well it bothered me for a week. If you are looking for info, came across this article on swollen uvula.
