I am trying to find some bright pink /Magenta fabric to use on a hammock for my fiancee. I am after some uncoated ripstop nylon between 1.5 and 1.9. Any help would be appreciated!

Both Hot Pink and Magenta Nylon Taffeta (actual weight 1.7oz) are available if you would want a Dream Hammock.
Here's a photo of a Magenta DangerBird with 1.6oz Gray inside layer.

Thank you!
I am sure this is a silly question. What makes a dream hammock a dream hammock? Is it just the use of taffeta? Are there other common "types" of hammocks out there?

Dream Hammock is just the name of my business.
Here are some of the different hammocks we build. http://www.dream-hammock.com/Hammocks.html
There are also lots of other folks building hammocks, if you don't want to build it yourself.
I'm not aware of any other hammock makers that have them available in Hot Pink or Magenta.
I've not personally used the 1.9oz Pink fabric from DIY Gear Supply, but everything else I have purchased from them has been top-notch stuff.
