Yep, I like it. Looks like a really clean way to finish off a hammock.

Now a little studying on amsteel and splicing I guess.

I'm sure a lot of people will end up using this wonderful method, well done.

Did mine more or less the same way. Used a length of paracord through the channel to secure the end and ran my suspension through the rabbit hole and larks headed the ridgeline to it there.

I can see the benefit (peace of mind) of the two larkshead method here. I haven't had any issues with mine thus far (and I hang in it a lot). That's the beauty of DIY. I can take it apart and change it if I want to (or need to). Very clever sir. Nicely done.

Thanks, DD. You should upload some pics of your method sometime..Toss them right in this thread if ya want...Would make a great resource for people to see various methods to attaching ridgelines and suspensions.

I just got my tablecloths yesterday for my first attempts at DIY hammocks. I was looking at suspensions with a vague idea of what I want my suspension to do and your method looks to be pretty much exactly what I want. Initially I won't have a bugnet on mine but I definitely want to have the option of putting one on later once I get some better thread injector skills. I would love to read any helpful hints you have for how you sew your hammocks. Specifically regarding how you attach your bugnetting, how you finish the ends of your hammocks (the triangle-shaped pieces specifically), things of that nature. I'm pretty sure your hammock layout is what I'm looking to create.
