Is this the one where wax drips out the bottom,
and the candle eventually drops out also?

I've had neither problem with a UCO doing such things. The candle holder locks in with bayonet tabs and the candle shouldn't drip at all if you use the UCO brand replacements.

Perhaps your experienced were with a copy? I have seen the candle melt inside the feed tube if left in a hot car. Even that didn't cause it to leak, but it wouldn't feed properly--- there is a spring that keeps the candle at the top to burn properly.

I don't appreciate the tone comments. This is a quality product that is currently in production and in good working order.

Actually, they were just questions.... another thread talking about
candle lanterns, someone described the very problems that I
asked about. And, I was only asking because I was interested.

It could've been another model of candle lantern =)
I've got an old fold flat square lantern, but it is no where
as sophisticated as this looks... I'm tempted

    I'll take it!
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. Hang your own hammock from them as the winds blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. - John Muir (you know, all but the hammock part)
