    Advice/comfort on recent purchase (1.7 vs 1.1)?

Hi, I had a Double 1.1 Warbonnet Blackbird that I lost a year ago (somehow, grrr).

So I bought a replacement, and it arrived just in time for a camping trip -- except apparently I ordered a Double 1.7 by mistake; it's 37 ounces vs. 28 ounces for the Double 1.1.

I'm not an extreme ultralight backpacker, but still the extra unneeded 9 ounces is kind of bugging my neurotic brain. (I weigh only 160 lbs, so I don't need the heavier model.)

    It seems my options are...
    a) not camp with it, ask Brandon for an exchange, and then wait 3-6 weeks for the replacement to arrive
    b) camp with it anyway, and then keep it and not sweat the $#%% 9 ounces, or maybe sell it as used.
    c) ....any other options I can't think of?

Anything else you might say to help me just be happy and move on? :-)
    Thanks.

you could use it once and still easily sell it here for just about full price (assuming nothing happens to it while on your trip). 1.7DL is definitely overkill, and why carry the weight if you don't need it.

    c) Keep it for car camping and backyard/home hanging, order a 1.1 for hiking

I started out with a 1.7 DL which was/is total overkill for my weight class (~135lbs). After the first trip I came to my senses and ordered a 1.0 DL, which is absolutely adequate. However, I never sold the 1.7 DL. It's just too nice and comfy. I like the 1.0 DL (and also the 1.1 DL that I'm currently using), but the heavier material seems to add some comfort.

    d) Put it up here and ask if somebody wants to trade their 1.1 DL in for a 1.7 DL?

If you put it up on the forums it will sell fairly quickly.

    Thanks so much, everybody!

Looks like I have to build up 50 posts before I can post in For Sale, so I'll get cracking...

If it's just a simple replacement that would only take a few days, the normal lead time would not apply

This is why I love dealing with the smaller vendors...awesome, Brandon!
