TYVEK DIY'ers speak up

I made a 12x12 tarp used tyvek grommett tabs I bought on eBay ,for all of my tie outs.
Reinforced the two ridge line tie out points with gorilla tape.put the 2 piece,s of tyvek together using tyvek tape also went around edges of entire tarp with the same tape.I have used it at least a dozen times holding up great. Other than being white it works perfect. I have made a ground cloth and a gear cover,and several sinch gear sacks holding up fine.tyvek tape is really strong.

I got an IM earlier, which I will respond to in a minute, but after closer examination, what I have is NOT Tyvek. this stuff is something else. it must be some sort of barrier with THOUSANDS of little holes punched every 3/8 to 1/4 inch.... I guess to allow for the moisture in the walls to escape.

but I appreciate the comments here as I will go buy some tyvek and still make some projects.

My question sense it is a plastic, can it be sealed with the heating element in a seal a meal?
