    Done

Just placed my order. Upgraded the insulation and decided to go with the green. Thanks to everyone for their comments/opinions!

    Fitting Suggestions

Received my quilt and hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance to put it on the hammock and give it a fit test. I don't have a single tree in my yard so I have to wait for a road trip. Couple of questions about fitting:
    1. Does it make any difference in the order that you tighten the adjustable cords (ends versus suspension)?
    2. Does it make any difference if you tighten the head end versus foot end first?
    3. Last, if you decide to install the triangle thingies, do you just cut the end shock cord and make 4 individual shock cords to attach to the end loops and triangle thingie loops?
    Thanx

    Hey Hillbilly,

    #1 No
    #2 No
    and #3 No.

It does not make any difference at all which you tighten up when. The main thing you want to work for is to get the lines...all of them...just to the point of being snug..not tight snug. You need to still have stretch in the quilt suspension and you want to not over tighten the ends to the point of the quilt getting wrinkles as those can allow cool air to funnel in-between the quilt and hammock.

More often than not if someone is cool with a KAQ its that one or the other or both lines are to tight. Most people would figure that if they are cold they need to tighten everything up when really most of the time if you loosen things slightly the quilt will fit better and be warmer.

I am going to be working on a quick how to set up video for the Jarbidge next week while on the Idaho Hang. It will probably be a few weeks before I have it edited but it's on the horizon.

On the triangles: They attach to the quilt at the for corners of the quilt and you just ignore the standard suspension all together...I would not cut it but if you dig the triangles then you can remove the stock suspension by just undoing the knots. Normally its one or the other suspension but not both.

Once you get the quilt dialed it and it fits your hammock and you then you just leave everything set and next time just clip it on. Your not re-doing the set up and adjustment each time you hang.

Paul, thanks for the insight. Video sounds great. Quilt looks awesome. You obviously put a lot of care and detail in your product!
