Other than the gentleman on here (Mac_48) who has made some MARPAT tarps, anyone know where else you can get one?

Sportsmansguide has USMC MARPAT basha tarps for around $25.
It may be a little short for a hammock tarp but you may be able to use it.
There are no commercially made MarPat Tarps.
Two tarps that Sportsmans Guide sells as "digital woodland" approximate MarPat but does not have the EGA in the pattern. One of them is too small, the other too heavy:

They have another two in a similar pattern that does not specify weight:

The USMC Field Tarp is a very good tarp, but somewhat heavy, just barely big enough for coverage, and weighs two pounds:

Most used examples will have at least multiple pin holes in them, many will have rips and tears. They see a lot of abuse. I have one, as well as a couple yards of the material they are made from and plan to DIY a couple of tarps once I get the time.
I plan on removing the 1" heavy duty hem on the field tarp, along with all the snaps and grommets, then roll a new hem around the perimeter and add grosgrain loops in place of the heavy hardware, which should reduce the weight somewhat. Its shape and dimensions require that it be used as a diamond tarp.
With the material I have, I'm hoping to make an asym tarp where max coverage is at the head and foot ends as one sleeps on the diagonal. This might help to reduce weight even further.
Another thing I am going to try is making my own sil using the 1.1 MarPat rip stop that DIY Gear Supply sells. GMCPCS made one using an obsolete Army pattern that worked out very well and is very light weight. I got to see it at the TX Butt Bake last month and it looked very good. He said it kept the water from his garden hose out, so it should do OK in most rains. You can see it here:

At one time warbonnet had one similar to marpat

May want to check out whether that is his current pattern

I got myself a roll of that Marpat fabric and I am considering giving a DIY Silnylon tarp a try in the near future...Just cant decide on whether to make it with door or just a Hex-Tarp.
