    NC>RTP/Triangle/RDU area>Aug 9-11

So in a rare alignment of the stars I got both the weekend off work and the kitchen pass to go camping. Boy am I looking forward to it as I haven't had the chance to get out in months. Throwing out a wide open invite to see if anyone else was interested in meeting up for an impromptu hang this weekend. I've got specific place set yet, looking at mostly staying local, though I could possibly be persuaded to travel.

So anyone else got a free weekend to spend in the woods?

put me on your list of local hangers and if you ever come west we can head out farther west and find someplace to hang.

Nice stand there. I was up at Fall Lake last weekend getting some hiking in. The trailhead at Hwy 50 (Creedmore) hiking west towards Durham, did about 12 miles, heat was killer.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Yes my weather man let me down. I was hoping for a little rain and wind that day.

Ended up not making it out after all. Wife came down with something on Friday and spent all but about 4 hours of the weekend in bed sleeping it off. I do have Labor Day weekend free so I'm hoping to make some good use out of it.
