OK - make fun of me later.
But, what is the strip of velcro (hook/loop) running along the top lip of the hammock?
What is it designed to do?
I haven't seen this discussed anywhere - yet.

The velcro in the pocket area mates with the velcro on the pocket openings to keep them closed. The velcro in the lower area, extending all the way to the foot end, and going across the hammock body at about knee level, is for attaching the optional Z-liner foot piece insulation.
"...With saddle and pack, by paddle and track, let's go to the land of beyond."
Well, gee. Never mind.
But, thank you.
It must have been a camping hallucination.
I thought for sure I had discovered and entirely separate line of velcro.
Might have been something in the water..........
