Thumbs up Video: Old loggers Path PA

Baxter and I went out for another adventure, back up to the Loyalsock State Forest. We hiked the Old Loggers Path and had a great time, we tried out and tested a new tarp to the fullest. Saw some cool snakes and some bats, we also met some nice people along the way! We hope you enjoy the video.

Nice video! I'm hoping to get to the Old Loggers Path this year yet. Looks like a pretty nice hike. Those were some pretty good sized Timbers.

One of my most favorite trails. Did you take one night or two? and which way did you go clockwise or counter? We usually go counter and take two nights because the we love camping next to Rock Run on day one. The trout in pleasant stream are really good the second night. About five years ago a local fellow came up to us as we were parking in Maston and warned us of a 15' black mountain lion that was spotted in the area (I would love to be the guy to get a picture of that). I was a bit upset because he scared, Mary (my wife). She calmed down when her rational side kicked in and realized that we do not have lions in PA and we make so much noise when we walk together that most turtle are miles away before we show up.

Im glad you took the time out and enjoyed my video. I really enjoy the OLP my self, and will be back im sure many times over.

I was gonna go to the 501 hang, but needed a good solo hike to clear my head from work. i work every other weekend so maybe one day we can meet at the 501. I was there in February and met dutch and the jerzybears and a couple others and had a good time and cant wait till the next time!

Oh yea you would probably like to know, they are finally rebuilding the bridge down in masten which should make for easier travel, and they have also improved masten road alot!

I think you choose wisely it was a great weekend to be out. Also thanks for keeping Baxter tethered and safe. I have found more than one lost dog while hiking (even one a couple years ago a the spring MAHHA). I bugs the crap out of me when we come up on a loose dog and somebody you can't see yelling, "he won't bite". Titus and Bobo are always tethered, for their safety more than anything, I couldn't imagine how I would feel if one got bit because I let them loose.
